The INBP (The French National Baking and Pastry Institute) was founded in 1974 by the French National Union representing French artisan Bakers and Pastry Chefs and is a Reference in France as well as overseas. Universities and Culinary schools around the world choose the INBP school for their French Baking curriculum and the INBP Chefs travel across the five continents to bring their know-how to students as well as to professionals. The INBP boasts some of the most influential French Bakers and Pastry Cooks among its thousands of alumni as well as award-winning and outstanding Chefs in its teaching staff.
The INBP school prepares adults without previous knowledge in the field in 6,5 to 8 months (placement in a French company included) to the French State Diplomas (CAP) in three trades ( Baker, Pastry Cook and Chocolate/Confectioner) with exceptionally high rates of success at the exams thanks to the high quality of its teaching methods ( "learning by doing") and to its highly-qualified team of INBP Baker and Pastry Chef instructors, all committed to sharing their passion for their trade in a professional and convivial atmosphere.
The school is located in Rouen, the capital city of the Normandy, a very touristic region, only an hour and a half away from Paris and an hour from the Normandy beaches.
On its 4,800 square meters, the school offers students spacious well-equipped training bakeries and pastry laboratories as well as classrooms, a demonstration hall, a dining space and the oldest and first resources and documentation centre in France specialized in the field. Across the school, the INBP Residence Hall with fully equipped flats is really a plus to welcome our international students.
