EXHIBITOR CRITERIAS

"The interest of Indonesian students to study in Europe has increased in recent years. In 2016, the total of Indonesian students departing to Europe reached almost 6,000 students which is an increase of more than 40% since the previous year. The current total number of Indonesian students who are studying in Europe is almost 9,000 students. Based on the data of the Government of Indonesia's scholarship scheme (LPDP), 72% of its Awardees departed to Europe to undertake their Masters' Degree and 45% of them are pursuing their Doctorate Degrees in Europe".

The journey start in 2008 with 88 exhibitors and more than 15.000 visitors. EHEF Indonesia was initiated by a consortium consisting of CampusFrance, DAAD, Nuffic Neso and British Council as a part of the Asia-Link Programme, a series of seven events in Asia during 2006-2008, which was funded by the European Commission. Following the previous success of EHEF 2008, in 2010 the EHEF Consortium conducted local fairs supported by Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam and ASEAN. EHEF Committee was able to manage a limited budget arrangement and support and proved itself to become one of the biggest and prestigious education fair destinations in Indonesia.

Currently, EHEF has become the most awaited and prestigious annual education fair in Indonesia. In 2019, we successfully exhibited 120 exhibitors and attracted more than 16,600 visitors to EHEF Indonesia (Surabaya, Jakarta and Bandung).

In order to be eligible to exhibit at EHEF Indonesia, the institutions must:

  • be a higher education institution with headquarters in one of the 27 EU Member States,
  • be recommended by the appointed national coordinator of EU Member State,
  • provide courses at the undergraduate level and / or the postgraduate level of higher education leading to recognized degrees,
  • provide degree courses that are accredited by the competent national authority in the relevant EU Member State,
  • have a strong international dimension or be actively seeking to develop one, i.e. offer courses (preferably English-taught) and support services particularly aimed at international students.
  • officially represent the European country language center or cultural center
  • priority will be given to individual higher education institutions with a focus on postgraduate courses.

For each country, booths are allocated to eligible higher education institutions on a first-come first-served basis, based on the date and time of arrival of the complete and signed application form by email at the EHEF Committee office before the application deadline. If the number of applications exceeds the number of booths available, a waiting list will be constituted. Eligible institutions will be placed on this waiting list according to the date and time of arrival of complete and signed application form at EHEF Committee office before the application deadline.

The EHEF Committee reserves the right to select institutions to take part in the European Higher Education Fair based on the exhibitor’s selection criteria, as described above. Applicants will be notified by email of the decision
