eCampus University was established as online university by the Ministerial Decree of 30th January 2006. Its operational headquarters are in the former IBM centre in Novedrate (Province of Como). The campus is surrounded by the pleasant green area of Brianza with 270 residential rooms and several spaces and places of great interest available to students, professors and Italian and foreigner guests for examinations and curricula enrichment activities such as intensive courses, seminars and conferences.
The campus, designed by architect Bruno Morassutti, is a state-of-the-art architectural block consisting of 12 towers connected at various levels and surrounded by a 10-hectare park, equipped with sports facilities.
Even though it has such a large and efficient operational headquarters, eCampus is a university existing throughout the country both in terms of educational services, which can be assessed anywhere, at any time, and its guide tutors, who are available nationwide to offer personal educational assistance and orientation to students.
The widespread network of tutors is, perhaps, the university's most valuable asset because it offers precise responses to all personal needs of each student.
The data-processing structure was designed to create a UIS (University Information System) that integrates all functions and allows the control of each student's learning process from a cognitive, emotional, motivational and logistic point of view
