Reason #3: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (Key Action 1) Scholarships

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMDs) is a high-level integrated international study program delivered by a collaboration of an international consortium of higher education institutions (HEI) for students at master’s level worldwide. The unique feature of this scholarship programme is the opportunity for students at Masters degree worldwide to obtain more than one degree as they are eligible to complete up to three programs that are listed on the Erasmus Mundus Master Courses (EMMCs) catalogue.

This programme is a fantastic option for students who are interested to obtain a joint degree (i.e one single degree certificate issued on behalf of at least two higher education institutions of the EMJD consortium) or multiple degrees (i.e at least two-degree certificates issued by two higher education institutions of the consortium).

Joint degrees are highly encouraged as they represent a full integration of the learning and teaching process as long as the national legislation allows.

This mobility project offers structured study, work experience, job shadowing, volunteering, training and teaching opportunities to staff and learners. The scholarship programme encompasses a wide variety of disciplines, such as agricultural and forestry sciences, economic science, mathematics, information science, and engineering. An EMJMD is a study programme of 60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits that will take a minimum of 12 months, to a maximum of 24 months to complete.

How To Apply For Erasmus+ Key Action 1 Scholarships?

Erasmus+ awards scholarships for high performing student candidates who apply under annual selection rounds. It is a selective process with the aim to support only the best proposals. In return, selected EMJMDs will be awarded a substantial amount of funding for four intakes of prospect beneficiaries.

Beneficiary candidates must first be admitted into the course and be selected for an EMJMD scholarship.

At the application process, EMJMD proposals must present a complete joint study programme that is ready to be executed and to be advertised worldwide immediately after their selection.
