The ÖSD test is an official system for tests and assessments as evidence of German language proficiency and is recognized by both German and international governments.
ÖSD stands for “Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch” as well as “Österreich, Schweiz, Deutschland” (Austria, Switzerland, Germany).
ÖSD developed the German concept as plurisentris, which reflects the diversity of German language in its test. The variety of German-speaking countries of Austria, Switzerland and also Germany is thus treated as equals and represented in all its test.
