"At MDH, the many study programmes on offer fall within four educational areas: economics, health and welfare, teacher education, and engineering. In 1999, Mälardalen University, as the first university in the world, was environmentally certified according to the international ISO14001 standard. In addition, we were the first higher education institution in the country to be certified for our working environment. "
