Created under this name in 2012, it emerged from the grouping of three pre-existing courses: the Ecole Supérieure de Microbiologie et Sécurité Alimentaire de Brest (ESMISAB), a school of engineers created in 1991, Food Industry (FITI2A), created in Quimper in 1999 as part of a partnership between the UBO and IFRIA Bretagne and the IPPIA Professional Master in Innovation Processes and Products in Food Industries. The ESIAB awards two engineering degrees and a Master’s degree for a period of 6 years and holds the EUR-ACE (accreditation of engineer training in Europe) label.
