The Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques de la Ville de Monaco (ESAP) has set a pedagogy specifically oriented towards transmitting a multifaceted education in art and scenography.
"This orientation answers particularly to the necessity of underling the dialog between a work and its context along with the new shapes induced by their confrontation. Questioning the mutual influences, the reflective and permutation effects between visual arts, the stage and the exhibition space is what the training concentrates upon. The practice of scenography being combinative, its field is a place of multiple experiences. Through the diversity of processes it convokes, it creates the conditions of a central space that both defines and exceeds its own limits. In other words, it presents an event but also the vaguer porous boarders of a revelation, where the potentialities of art intertwine. We invite our future artists to invest these passageways, both zones of resistance and exchange. Though the motile territory of scenography is our playground, art remains the general frame of the pedagogical project. The ESAP affirms itself above all as school engaged in a contemporary creation which builds itself with the plurality of mediums.http://www.pavillonbosio.com/en/the-school/presentation"
