The University of Silesia in Katowice, established in 1968, is one of the biggest public universities in Poland which currently educates 28.000 students. It contains 12 faculties and several university-wide didactic units spread into four cities of the Silesian region: Katowice, Sosnowiec, Chorzów and Cieszyn.
The school constantly enriches its offer teaching, starting at the new faculties and departments responding to the needs of the labor market and the expectations of employers. We strive to ensure that the University of Silesia university was prepared to innovation and lifelong learning, interdisciplinary, individualized and targeted to the needs of the students, using the latest technologies and ways of learning, such as Massive Open Online Courses .
