Exploring our huge and diverse database can be a confusing start.
You can actually customize your search, both actively and passively. Below we explain in detail what these mean.
We've already done our part in organizing our database in various categories, so this is very simple for users like you to do. All you have to do is narrow your search by using our customized search bar.
What do you prioritize in your current studying destination search?
Generally, searching for the 'right' university to enrol in is never an easy decision. There are many factors to consider and more information you need to dig deeper.
Perhaps you've already decided what country, university or study program you choose to go or take. In this case, you are able to do your search this way:
If you've decided the country...
If you've got a study program in mind...
If you've decided the university you want to enrol in...
This is basically the passive way of searching; By filling out your detailed information, you are allowing ehef.id to bring information to you.
There are two kinds of information users are required to fill: personal profile (My Profile) and interests (My Interests).
In the 'My Profile' section, you get to fill out information such as your education background, professional background, achievement, reference and even tests results (IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, GRE). Many higher education institutions are connected to ehef.id. By filling out all these information, you are making yourself visible to to them, and so might just be their next talented candidate to recruit in their scholarship program.
In the 'My Interests' section is where you fill out information such as fields of studies, subject of interest within study, destinations (countries), target universities, study plans. All these information will help us suggest universities to you that meets your criteria.
Perhaps you haven't specified your study choice yet, but you've already got an idea of what you want and a handful of options to consider from our database collection.
As you explore the Countries and Universities section, like countries and universities that you're interested in by clicking the thumb icon, and studying programs that are considerable or offers the programmes you're looking for by clicking the heart-shaped icon next to the names of their programmes. Every time you like a country, university and/or study program, all will be accumulated in the 'Discover' section of your profile dashboard, formed into a wishlist. You'll find this tool incredibly helpful if you're still looking around for universities you need.
Then it gets better—you get to compare them with one another too. You'll notice that each list have a 'compare programs' or 'compare universities' button below them. The 'wishlist' containing all your liked universities or programmes will be placed in a single table and have its data compared based on the following categories:
Universities: Country, city, status, type, international students, QS Rank, THE Rank, Page visitors
Programmes: University, country, study level, fields of study, duration, full time, part time, tuition fee, TOEFL and IELTS requirements.
What is an interactive higher education site if you can't have access to reach to your chosen institutions?
A database is surely not enough. There's a lot more that students need to know, and of course the best way is to have a platform bridging the student-institution connection.
With forums, you get to connect and interact directly with the admins and even members of the forum. Joining a forum is the most efficient way to receive the latest updates of the institution.
The forum is where users are granted access to read and create topics, join upcoming webinars and receive notifications straight from them.
There are two ways you can check if your chosen university has activated a forum or not by browsing it through Discover > Institutions or open the university database itself from Discover > Universities and see if it has a three-person icon on the right bottom corner of their database image.
There's always a lot going on in the higher education world.
