First proposed in 2009, Uversity was established as a collaborative entity with twenty-four leading higher education institutions on the island of Ireland as its Founding Partners. This pioneering community includes ten universities, seven institutes of technology and seven independent colleges. Uversity became a Recognised College of the National University of Ireland (NUI) in 2012.
"Each programme lasts between two and five days and integrates education and experience by including master-classes from practising artists, creative production, cultural visits, field trips, festival participation and performance attendance. Programmes will extend across a variety of creative disciplines including theatre, creative writing, graphic design, film, animation, design, fashion, material culture and festivals. Uversity is constantly evolving and will continue to bring exciting initiatives to fruition to achieve our mission "
