L’University of Catanzaro "Magna Graecia" Studies is an Italian state university founded in 1998 . It is one of the three public universities of Calabria , the second highest number of subscribers.
Originally the university was located in the northern outskirts of the city and distributed across multiple facilities. In 2006 the University and the campus were transferred to the district Germaneto (western suburbs) in an area of 170 hectares.
