The University of Konstanz was founded in 1966 as a reform university. It counts nearly 12,000 students and is the southernmost university of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In the Excellence Initiative , she succeeded in all three funding programs in 2007 and 2012 and is therefore one of the elite universities in the Federal Republic.
