The University of Rome "Foro Italico Studies" is the fourth state university of Rome, and is the only Italian university, and one of the few Europeans to be fully dedicated to motor activity and sport. Already Iusm - University Institute of Sports Science (Rome, 1998) originates from the transformation of the ISEF - Institute of Education State Physics (Rome, 1952) and before that by the Academy of Physical Education founded in 1928. Its headquarters are located in the great monumental complex of the Foro Italico, which houses some of the most important sports in the capital.
The University has modern teaching facilities (11 classrooms, 4 language labs, 1 specialized library), sports (10 modernly equipped gym, two pools, a rowing center on the Tiber) and scientific (more than 20 laboratories and research centers) and a canteen for students. It also equipped with a modern Audiovisual Center (which manufactures independently educational and informative video material) and conference rooms where you play congresses of national and international importance. With approximately 2000 members and 60 lecturers, the University is currently topped the national rankings for facilities and number of teachers available per student. Strongly open to local and international cooperation also has one of the highest percentages of non-resident students (about 30%) and foreign (over 6%).
