The Jardine Scholarships, offered by the Jardine Matheson Group and the Jardine Foundation since 1982, are aimed for students to pursue their undergraduate degrees at selected colleges in the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
The scholarships offered will cover everything, from tuition to daily expenses. The foundation also offers certain postgraduate scholarships, and information on that is offered through an e-mail sent to the Secretaries of the Jardine Foundation (jardine.foundation@jardines.com).
The undergraduate colleges considered in the University of Cambridge are Downing, Magdalene, Peterhouse and Trinity; whilst the colleges at the University of Oxford are: Exeter, Oriel, Queen’s and Trinity.

The scholarships for undergraduate studies are offered to applicants from locations in which the Jardine Matheson Group has a significant business operation in, which are Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
The selection committee prefers the applicants to be within seven years of graduating high school, although they are able to make a few exceptions. The committee also would like to ensure that the applicant is relatively healthy and unmarried.
The selection committee takes a look at a variety of elements, including academic achievements, leadership experience, non-academic involvements such as sports, community engagement, and other attributes that the committee deem deserving. All in all, it looks like the scholarship committee is on the lookout for well-rounded students, so it would be great for you to keep that in mind when drafting your application!
The committee also examines you based on the criteria listed for undergraduate courses at Oxford and Cambridge, so be sure to pay those admission sites a visit and review what those universities look for!

The scholarship covers tuition fees (that are paid directly to the university), college fees (paid directly to the colleges), an annual stipend (determined on a case by case basis), the cost of UK Immigration Health Surcharge, and a standard economy flight to the UK on the start of the programme and back upon completion of the scholarship period.
Scholars must not accept any other scholarship form other than from the Jardine Foundation throughout the scholarship period.
Elements that go into the application are:
After sending the documents to the Jardine Foundation, applicants will be screened through an interview that usually happens mid-November (for Indonesian candidates). A final round interview will be conducted by the scholarship committee in Hong Kong on January of the following year. Costs of the final interview will be borne by the Foundation.
