Southampton is celebrating success!

Southampton rises 12 places in The 2019 Guardian University Guide, returns on the QS guide for the world’s top 100 ranked universities for 2019 and is awarded TEF Silver Award!   They say 'good things comes in threes,' we are delighted to share that Southampton has risen to 20th in the Complete University Guide rankings and 23rd in the Guardian University league table for 2019.   The Guardian University Guide, which ranks 121 UK institutions, is entirely focused on undergraduate study and experience. Rankings are based around the familiar criteria of entry tariffs, student satisfaction, graduate prospects, student-staff ratio and university spend per student. It also provides an overall ‘value added’ score (out of 10).   To find out more about our ranking, please click here.   To add to the good news, the University has regained its place amongst the world's top 100 universities after placing 96th overall in the Quacquarelli Symonds' World University Rankings 2019.   The top 100 ranking is based on performance indicators that focus on excellence in research, as well as the University’s global reputation amongst fellow academics and employers, where Southampton’s academics have particularly made important strides through their increased visibility and engagement around the world.   To find out more about our ranking, please click here.   Finally, The University has been awarded a Silver Teaching Excellence & Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) rating by the Office for Students (OfS). The TEF ratings were introduced by the government to measure the quality of teaching at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in England.
